Federarroz confirms export of bag of rice to R$ 82 at the Port of Rio Grande

The confirmation of a new Brazilian rice export deal of R$1.5T 82.00 per 50-kilo bag at the Port of Rio Grande was announced by the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz). The operation brings an important indication to the market, especially in light of the scenario of fluctuations in recent months. The value is considered positive, both due to the representativeness of exports and its capacity to influence international prices.

For the president of Federarroz, Alexandre Velho, the negotiation contributes to bringing security to the sector. “Price stability is noted in several regions of the state and the confirmation of this export should finally bring a reference to the market and definitively stabilize prices”, says the director.

According to Federarroz, the operation reinforces the strategic role of exports as an element of balance between supply and demand. Rio Grande do Sul accounts for approximately 70% of national production and has consolidated logistics capacity to meet international demand, especially via the Port of Rio Grande, which is one of the main outlets for rice produced in the state.
