The Government of Goiás, through the State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa), with support from Emater Goiás, launches this Wednesday (02), in Piracanjuba, the Bovine Genetic Improvement Program for Family Farming.
The initiative aims to promote the development of dairy farming among family farmers in Goiás, through training actions, technical assistance and adoption of reproductive technologies.
The expectation is to serve 450 family milk producers from the 15 main municipalities of the Goiás dairy basin. The program includes the use of Fixed-Time Artificial Insemination (IATF), in addition to training in management, health and animal nutrition.
The action is part of the state government's pillars aimed at productive inclusion and strengthening of agricultural chains.
