Brazilian soybeans gain strength with favorable exchange rates and high global demand

Cepea surveys show that domestic soybean prices rose last week, reflecting, in addition to the growing competition between Brazilian buyers (especially for domestic processing) and international buyers, also the exchange rate appreciation (US$/R$).

In July (up to the 28th), Brazil shipped 10.44 million tons of soybeans, with the daily average of shipments exceeding that of July/24 by 12.4%.

The data, released by Secex and analyzed by Cepea, demonstrates strong external demand, given the need for traders to complete loads in Brazilian ports.

According to the Research Center, this scenario has driven export premiums to their highest levels in three years. Furthermore, the increase in US tariffs on several countries could boost foreign demand for Brazilian soybeans.
