The state of Paraná has stood out for its strong economic development throughout the year. In 2025, the state broke historical records in three fundamental areas for its growth: Agriculture, Infrastructure, and Ports. According to the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), Paraná achieved the largest grain harvest in history, with more than 46 million tons harvested.
The roads also stood out with the milestone of 755 kilometers of concrete highways, according to the Paraná State Government. Meanwhile, the state's ports reached 70 million tons of cargo handled. These numbers represent the state's continued growth and point to positive results for the coming year.

According to Deral, the 2024/25 harvest reached the target expected for 2035. The highlight of the harvest was oats, with 470,000 tons, the highest volume in the last 10 years. Another important element for the sector was corn, which reached 21 million tons, a record number for the grain.
According to the president of the Union of Freight Transport and Logistics Companies of Western Paraná (Sintropar), the number reinforces the importance of a joint effort between the two sectors. “This volume demands logistical planning, adequate infrastructure, and increasingly qualified operations. The record-breaking Paraná harvest strengthens the union between the sectors and highlights the importance of road freight transport in ensuring the efficient flow of this production,” he emphasizes.
Advances in infrastructure
The more than 700 kilometers of paved roads represent an increase of 50% compared to the 500 kilometers recorded in June. In total, concrete roads have already accounted for more than R$3.3 billion invested. In addition to the results already achieved, restoration, expansion and duplication works are already planned for the western region. "The expansion of concrete roads in Paraná is an important advance for the sector, as it brings more durability, road safety and operational predictability for those who transport cargo daily," emphasizes Pilati.
According to the president of Sintropar, Paraná is showing consistent growth due to investments and a diversified economy: "This environment favors business planning and strengthens the entire road freight transport chain," he emphasizes.
Beyond the harvests and highways, the ports also reached record numbers. In 2025, the state's ports handled 70 million tons, a figure 5% higher than that recorded in 2024. The Port of Paranaguá is one of the most important in the world for the shipment of grains and bran, as well as being the largest export corridor for meat in Brazil, with 40% of national production leaving the country. “The record of cargo handling at the Ports of Paraná shows that the state is prepared to meet growing demand. This performance is also possible with the support of efficient, integrated and technically well-structured road transport,” reinforces Pilati.
Outlook for 2026
In 2026, the continuation of infrastructure works to improve the road network is planned, with restorations, new connections, and paving. Furthermore, with the recent investment of R$1.5 billion for the expansion of the Port of Paranaguá, a surge in foreign trade is expected. "For 2026, the expectation is for an even more challenging and promising scenario, with strong agriculture, increasingly efficient ports, and the permanent need for adequate highways to support this growth," comments the president.
The executive reinforces the integration between sectors for the continuous and efficient growth of the state: “The integration between production, road infrastructure and port logistics will be crucial to maintaining Paraná's competitiveness, and Sintropar will continue working to ensure that road transport is prepared to meet this demand with efficiency, safety and planning,” emphasizes Pilati.
