Soybean production could reach 180.4 million tons.

The market of soy Brazilian soybean processing will maintain a high rate in 2026, while soybean meal exports gain momentum. According to data released by the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (ABIOVE), accumulated crushing grew by 7.71 TPP4T through June, and the projection for soybean meal shipments was raised to 25.3 million tons.

According to ABIOVE, Brazilian soybean production is estimated at 180.4 million tons in 2026. This figure aligns with the official survey by the National Supply Company, Conab. Exports are expected to reach 115.4 million tons.

The volume of soybeans destined for industrial processing is expected to reach 63.3 million tons throughout the year. Imports are estimated at 900,000 tons, according to projections released by the entity. Among the derivatives, soybean meal presented one of the main revisions released by ABIOVE. Production is projected at 48.7 million tons, while exports were adjusted to 25.3 million tons. The new volume represents a growth of 1.61 TP4T compared to the previous estimate.

For soybean oil, the association forecasts production of 12.7 million tons in 2026. Shipments to the foreign market are estimated at 1.7 million tons, while imports are expected to reach 125,000 tons. Daniel Furlan Amaral, Director of Economics and Regulatory Affairs at ABIOVE, states that the revised projections reflect the dynamism of the national industry and international demand, especially for soybean meal.

“The revised estimates reflect the continued dynamism in domestic soybean processing and solid external demand, driven by increased soybean meal exports,” says Amaral. According to him, the growth in accumulated crushing also demonstrates the operational capacity and competitiveness of the Brazilian industry.

The monthly figures reinforce this increase in processing compared to the previous year. In June 2026, Brazil processed 4.95 million tons of soybeans. This result was 5.3% lower than that recorded in May, but represented growth of 7.3% compared to June 2025, considering the adjustment for the sample percentage.

In the first six months of 2026, processing reached 28.30 million tons. According to ABIOVE, this volume is 7.7% higher than that observed in the same period of 2025, also considering the sample adjustment.
