The pig farming industry in Paraná exported 21,360 tons to the international market in March 2026, representing the best export performance for that month, according to... Deral's weekly bulletin (Department of Rural Economy), of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply, released this Thursday (16).
The result was driven by demand from the Philippine market, which imported 4,640 tons in the third month of 2026, an increase of 86.9% (2,160 tons) compared to the same month of the previous year.
March recorded the fourth best result in history, behind only the volumes exported in September (25,180 t), October (22,180 t) and December (22,120 t) of last year.

Data from the Comex Stat/MDIC platform, which tracks Brazilian export figures since 1997, shows that the 21,360 tons exported in March represent an increase of 10.11% compared to March 2025. This pattern of record results has been observed in Paraná since July 2024.
The bulletin also brings positive news for dairy farming. Following the rise in retail milk prices, evidenced in the latest survey conducted by Deral for the month of March, the value received by producers also began to move in the same direction last week. There was an increase of 12.8% compared to the previous week.
“The livestock farmer started receiving, on average, R$ 2.43 per liter delivered to the industry, compared to R$ 2.15 recorded in the previous survey. The off-season period for pastures, combined with the reduction in milk collection, is the main factor behind the increase in the product's value,” explained Deral veterinarian Thiago de Marchi da Silva.

The cost of producing live chickens in Paraná has stabilized at R$ 4.72/kg, reports Deral technician Roberto Carlos de Andrade e Silva. The average nominal price paid to producers closed last month at R$ 4.59/kg – 2.75% lower than the previous month.
The rise in input costs is the main cause of the increase in production costs. According to information from Deral, the wholesale price of corn in Paraná reached R$ 62.92 per 60 kg sack in March, representing an increase of 2.5% compared to the previous month. Roberto Carlos points out that the March indicators have not yet been impacted by the conflict between the United States/Israel and Iran, which began in February.
"Since the war began at the end of the two-month period, the March figures do not yet reflect the costs of inputs, which tend to rise in a war scenario, even if far from Brazil," he noted.
Soybean oil

There was a reduction in the retail price of soybean oil in the first three months of the year, compared to the average price in 2025. The reduction is due to the decrease in the price of soybeans. In March, the price received by soybean producers closed at R$ 115.09 per 60-kilogram bag, 3% lower than the 2025 average.
The retail price survey, conducted monthly by Deral, indicated that the 900ml packaging of soybean oil was sold in the state at an average of R$ 7.25 in March, while last year it was R$ 7.42. Thus, current prices are 2.3% lower compared to the 2025 average. Compared to February, however, there was an increase of 2.1%.
