Exports from the complex soy Brazilian exports totaled 111.7 million tons in the first eight months of 2026, an increase of 81% compared to the same period in 2025. According to data released by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral) of the Paraná State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), Paraná accounted for 11.67 million tons shipped between January and August, an increase of 4% year-on-year.
The soybean complex includes soybean grain, meal, and oil. Soybean grain accounts for approximately 831 TP4T of the exported volume, while soybean meal represents about 161 TP4T and soybean oil just over 11 TP4T.
In Brazil, the volume exported increased from 103 million tons in the first eight months of 2025 to 111.7 million tons in the same period of 2026. The increase is also reflected in the revenue obtained from foreign sales. According to data released by Deral/Seab, Brazilian exports of the soybean complex totaled US$47.54 billion between January and August 2026, a growth of US$171 billion compared to the same period of the previous year.
In Paraná, revenues from soybean complex exports reached US$5.2 billion, an increase of 13% compared to the first eight months of 2025.
China remains historically the main destination for Paraná's soybeans. In general, the Asian country buys approximately 60% of the volume exported by the state. Despite having the smallest share of the total volume of the soybean complex, soybean oil was the product that contributed most to the growth of Paraná's exports during the period.
According to data released by Deral/Seab, Paraná's soybean oil shipments grew by 48% in volume and 68% in value between January and August 2026.
During this period, Paraná exported 563,950 tons of soybean oil, compared to 380,360 tons in the first eight months of 2025. This represents an increase of 183,590 tons in shipments of the product compared to the same period of the previous year. The performance of the oil is also noteworthy for the growth in revenue, which increased at a faster rate than the volume exported.
As a result, the product with the smallest share within the soybean complex gained relevance in the expansion of Paraná's exports in 2026. Overall, the data show growth in both volumes and revenues obtained from soybean complex exports in Brazil and Paraná in the first eight months of the year.
