Cresol anticipates the Harvest Plan and expands its financing capacity in the field.

Cresol, a cooperative financial institution with over one million members, is working on the advance payment of resources from the Plano Safra (agricultural plan), a relevant strategy for Brazilian agribusiness. This initiative allows rural producers to plan with greater predictability in the face of changing credit conditions and climate challenges, reinforcing the cooperative's position as a facilitator in accessing rural financing and a direct partner of producers in the field.

Traditionally launched in July, the Plano Safra (Harvest Plan) is considered the main instrument for promoting agricultural production in Brazil, bringing together credit lines with differentiated conditions for operating costs, investment, and marketing. However, producers who plan ahead can access better opportunities and ensure greater financial organization for the harvest.

"The anticipation of resources emerges as a strategic tool." It allows the producer to avoid waiting for the official calendar, enabling them to better organize themselves, structure their planning, and get ahead when the conditions are announced.”"This is what Adriano Michelon, advisor to the Cresol Confederation, affirms."

Focus on essential production lines amidst a complex scenario.

In this cycle, there is a greater demand for credit lines aimed at livestock (cattle) and agricultural crops such as wheat and soybeans, operations that are fundamental to guaranteeing the productive flow in the field. Operating credit, for example, is responsible for financing essential expenses such as seeds, fertilizers, labor, and harvesting, and is crucial for making production viable in the short term.

"At the same time, we act in an advisory capacity to guide the producer in choosing the best product lines, also considering investment and marketing possibilities, which contribute to the sustainable growth of the property over time.", explains Michelon.

The move to anticipate payments also responds to a more complex scenario in Brazilian rural credit. Regulatory changes, recurring weather events, and the international landscape have put pressure on producers' planning. “The scenario changes and we adapt, continuing with a growth perspective. Our role is to seek alternatives so that producers don't have to slow down, whether within Pronaf, Pronamp, or in lines of credit for other producers.”"That's all," the advisor added.

Planning is key to the harvest.

Cresol emphasizes that planning is one of the main factors for success in accessing rural credit. Defining technical projects, organizing documents, and analyzing needs are steps that allow for greater speed in the approval and release of funds.

Furthermore, trends such as sustainability, technological innovation, and strengthening family farming should continue to guide the 2026/27 Harvest Plan, requiring even greater preparation from producers to take advantage of the best available conditions.

Cooperativism as a competitive advantage

With 30 years of experience, Cresol was the first credit cooperative formed by family farmers in Brazil and maintains, to this day, a model focused on proximity to the producer and adaptation to regional realities. This structure allows it to offer customized solutions and simplify access to credit.

The result of this performance is reflected in the cooperative's performance with BNDES, where Cresol is among the leading financial institutions in providing credit to individuals, with more than 103,000 transactions and an average ticket size exceeding R$84,000.

“Throughout our history, we have developed a customized agricultural plan for each region and invested heavily in technology to expedite access to credit. Today, we are able to carry out disbursements almost entirely online, with simplified registration for recurring producers, eliminating bureaucracy and ensuring speed in the process.”"That's all," the executive concludes.
