
The market of corn In the South and Midwest, the market continues to be marked by sporadic negotiations, buyers focused on restocking, and producers more selective in their sales, while the progress of planting and the end of the second harvest are driving activity in the main producing regions. According to TF Agroeconômica, prices remain supported in part by sellers' reduced willingness to negotiate and by the influence of domestic demand.
In Rio Grande do Sul, prices range between R$ 60 and R$ 68 per sack. The average state price, according to Emater, increased from R$ 61.09 to R$ 61.60, a weekly increase of 0.83%. Sowing of the first 2026/27 crop reached 54% of the planned area, with favorable weather conditions and establishment considered satisfactory.
In Santa Catarina, prices are close to R$ 60 per sack, while demand is around R$ 55, a difference that limits business. The state consumes approximately 8.5 million tons per year and produced 2.67 million tons in the 2025/26 harvest, maintaining a deficit close to 6 million tons. Planting for the new harvest has reached 21.7%.
In Paraná, purchase indications are also close to R$ 60 per sack, given demand around R$ 55 CIF. The second crop harvest reached 93%, while the sowing of the first 2026/27 crop reached 34%. Rains interrupted work in some areas, although crop development is considered good.
In Mato Grosso do Sul, prices range between R$ 54 and R$ 57 per sack. The bioenergy industry remains active in purchases and helps absorb part of the supply. The harvest of the second crop has reached 98% of the area, with operations already completed in the main producing regions.
